DTA Power Rankings: Boys 5.3
BSM - Kinda have the villian vibes this year but who is going to stop them? They have shown signs of imperfection, but, depth is so strong
2. Chanhassen - After their toughest half of the year (3-3 @ Tonka) they rolled to an 11-4 victory. They have playmakers everywhere.
3. Lakeville North - No signs of slowing down, extremely difficult to play against - some big games on the horizon but should be favored
4. Moorhead - huge win against Shakopee and looked dominant in other games. Maybe 4 is high, but, big tests coming up
5. Shakopee - Huge win over the Lakers but a tough loss against the Spuds - still a top team with plenty of talent to win
6. The Valley - Huge win vs Prior Lake showing they can compete with top teams. Schedule stays tough the rest of the year
7. Edina - Beat Rosemount & EP to open the season. Two quality wins. Ran with BSM most of the game, should they be top 5?
8. Armstrong - They look to be an absolute wagon with talent and athletes everywhere. Just crushed Centennial.
9. Maple Grove - Taking care of business, wish they had a tougher schedule, but, a few big games on the horizon
10. Minnetonka - Talent is there. Have had a lot of weird games where they look dominant but then completely lost.
11. Rosemount - Big wins against Wayzata & Farmington after losses to Edina & LN. Could be higher, big games coming up
12. Stillwater - Loss to BSM in a sloppy 1st game, but, rebounded nicely. Talent is there but some interestingly close games
13. White Bear Lake - Taking care of business thus far, big games against woodbury and stillwater coming up
14. PL - Can’t remember the last time they were 0-3. Tough schedule thus far but need to win one before move back up
15. St. Thomas Academy - Looked completely out of it for 3.5 quarters aganst MTKA. Then came alive and made it a game. They are hot and cold
16. Farmington - Took a big step beating eagan, but then were blown out by Rosemount. Need to fine tune some details
17. Eagan - Close loss to Farmington, then dominated woodbury. Ran with Shakopee for a half. Another hot/cold team
18. Woodbury - Taking care of business but got beat pretty good by Eagan. Big games coming up againt WBL & Stillwater
19. Eden Prairie - Close losses to Edina & LN. Close win vs Wayzata. Sneaky team I’m not 100% sure yet, but something there
20. Wayzata - Probably still somewhere in the mix, but, need to get back in the W column here
21. Chisago Lakes - Continue to dominate a weak schedule. Probably sitting around this spot until sections
22. Rochester Mayo - only loss was a close one to Farmington. Like CL, going to be tough to compare them against some of these other teams
23. Moundsview - Huge win against Irondale & amazing turnaround this season. Have some big games coming up
24. Totino-Grace - Still just a goal scoring machine, but, defense needs to be dialed up for them to move up
25. Jefferson - All of their games have been close. Very Tough schedule. Definitely a team that could be in the top 15 from eye test but gotta win one here
