Game Notes 4/20:  Simley @ Prior Lake

Prior Lake won convincingly, 19-2.

Going into this game, the match up was toured as a battle on how is Prior Lake going to reload all the seniors they lost vs the greatest sister combo package at a public school (the Kurowski sisters).

Prior Lake won the battle.

Prior Lake does what they do.  Spread out the scoring.  Fast break offense. Hard on ball while throwing doubles when they can.  They had 4 girls with hat tricks and 8 total goal scorers.  On top of that, Ruby Burandt shut the door in goal for PL.  We don’t think Simley is on the same level as Lakeville South or Chan, but rumors of PL’s demise may have been exaggerated.

Simley obviously relies heavily on Courtney Kurowski and she was pretty ball dominant to start the game, including having some success in the draw circle.  Unfortunately for Simley, PL locked her down defensively and basically took her out of the game.  We aren’t sure what happened, but she wasn’t on the field for a large chunk of the second half – we hope its not anything major.

Prior Lake held the lead 11-2 at half with a 19-2 final.

Another bang up job from Game Time Media and Lakers Live.  Guys – its free.  And they don’t sponsor or pay us to say that.  Maybe they down DTS, but not the source…takes more than that to buy us!
