Game Notes 4/24: Simley @ Woodbury

Game of the night with Woodbury winning 12-11 with a wild finish!

Woodbury held 2 different 3 goal leads in this one and Simley battled back each time. 

Simley was hampered by not having their top player, Courtney Kurowski. She left the PL game, with an unknown injury, but appeared to be on the side lines in a walking boot.

Simley scored 3 goals in the last 5 min to go from 11-8 to 11-11…only to have Kate Hooley for Woodbury score the game winner with 6 seconds left!  Kind of wild, but it was a LONG road to get there.

Lots of walking and standing around on offense, with a sudden burst here and there.  Time moved slow.

Woodbury held a 7-6 lead at half time. 

Second half started sssslllloooooooooowwwwwwww…but then obviously the action picked WAY up at the end.

Woodbury needs to learn how to close out a win and maintain a lead.  Losing this after blowing the East Ridge game would have been tough to handle.

East Ridge definitely moves into our top 4 for section 3…sorry Simley, you need to go back to the drawing board.
