DTA Power Rankings 5.10
1a. BSM - They’ve had their moments this year where they’ve looked mortal. But, then they go dismantle a good team 16-1.
1b. Chanhassen - At their worst, they are competitive. At their best, they are dominant. Could easily be #1 if BSM has a hiccup.
2 & 3. Lakeville North - Remind me of the 2017 state champ Eagan Wildcats. Flood gates are open from the first whistle
4. Edina - just taking care of business. Loss to BSM but kept it close for 3 quarters. Tough team built for playoff lacrosse
5. The Valley - the original electric factory. Talented group that is playing with confidence. Huge win vs Shakopee
6. Maple Grove - another team taking care of business, competed with Chan for a while. Athletes all over
7. Shakopee - two tough OT losses, but, otherwise dialed in. Defense is solid which will be key come post-season
8. STA - Aside from the hiccup in game 1, they have crushed teams they are supposed to beat and been close w/ top teams.
9. Eagan - On a hot streak right now with two last second wins vs Armstrong and Rosemount. They are right there
10. Woodbury - one hiccup vs Eagan, but otherwise just methodically taking care of business
11. Minnetonka - the most hot/cold team in the state. Lots of close wins/losses.
12. Rosemount - another hot/cold team, then they are on, they look really tough
13. Stillwater - Taking care of business, but, seems to always be a close game
14. Armstrong - they love scoring goals, but, against top teams they are going to need to get stops
15. Moorhead - huge win vs Shakopee, but, almost fell to Elk River and then a huge 16-1 loss to BSM. They are a good team, but need to regroup here
16. Eden Prairie - They find ways to win. Close, ugly, games. But they get it done
17. Chisago Lakes - very weak schedule, but taking care of business and in dominant fashion
18. Farmington - Has been up and down. Huge win vs Eagan, big loss to Rosemount. regrouped against South. Big game with PL tomorrow
19. Rochester Mayo - taking care of business, only loss to farmington with a big chance to show who they are this weekend against Wayzata
20. Totino Grace - Still in the mix, but, struggling against the better teams they play
21. White Bear Lake - close losses against top teams. Need to tie up some loose ends but still relevant in the playoffs for me
22. CDH - slowly climbing their way back up - lots of close games this year
23. Eastridge - a team to watch out for, some great wins last week before 1 goal loss to CDH
24. Tri-Mac - been doing well against a weaker schedule. Big game vs Blake today to decide the IMAC conference
25. Duluth - played CL to a closer game than I expected. Maybe just maybe?
