Game Notes 4/14:  BSM @ EP

A tale of two halves!  First half belonged to the Red Knights and second half to the Eagles.  BSM came out on top 12-9.

All three Vang sisters started the game for BSM.  Questions about their eligibility answered.  Or BSM has MSHSL in their pocket. Both might be true.

Julia Evens scored first goal of the game.  She looked very smooth all game.

EP did a decent job of possessing the ball, but their offense was sputtered.  Lots of short armed passes into traffic for our liking.  Maybe foreshadowing to the second half.

When BSM scored, they scored fast.  Brooke Nelson also had a great game in goal, and especially in the first half.

BSM was up 9-2 with about 5 minutes left in first half, but EP scored 3 straight to end the half 9-5.

EP kept that momentum going in second half.  Teams traded goals to start, then EP executed on their ball possession time advantage and put on a little run to cut the lead to 12-9 with 5:51 left.  Last goal either team scored.  BSM did seem to take their foot off the gas a little, but EP was there to capitalize on that passiveness.

Both goalies played great.  Shout out to gaolies Brooke Nelson of BSM and Addy Badon at EP.
