Game Notes 4/22:  Minnetonka @ Farmington

Fun non-conference, non-section Saturday game…Skippers (3-1) came out on top of the Tigers (1-2) 11-6.

Farmington controlled the game early, even going up 2-1.  Tonka then rolled 4 straight goals to end the half @ 5-2.

Tonka ramped up the pressure to start second half, before Farmington rallied to make it 6-4 with 14:06 left.

They traded goals and it was 7-5 with 9:28 left.

Tonka then scored 4 straight to make it 11-5…leaving Farmington to score a final goal with 90 seconds left, making final 11-6.

Both offenses were…deliberate.  Both goalies played great, Tonka has a soph in goal (Adi Rothschild) and Farmington a frosh (Brooke Anderson).  Both make some great saves and Anderson was especially not afraid to leave the goal…maybe a little too comfortable leaving goal.

Tonka has a very balanced attack and just a little too much firepower for Farmington.

Farmington has a ton of 9th and 10th graders playing, so we are excited to see how they do the next two years against South in section 1.

Minnetonka schedule next week:  Wednesday 4/16 vs Hopkins, Saturday 4/29 vs Moorhead

Farmington schedule next week: Tuesday 4/25 @ Apple Valley/Burnsville, Saturday 4/29 @ Hill-Murray
