Game Notes 5/12: Blake @ Maple Grove

Maple Grove proved themselves a real deal by totally controlling the game tonight against Blake, winning 10-3.

Tough scene zooming in on the HUDL stream…but we do what we need to – thanks for the free stream Maple Grove!

Ellie Morrison had a huge wrap on her leg and it did not appear that Sally Countryman played rumored to be suffering from an injury.  That won’t help things…and it didn’t.

Slow start to the game, but eventually Maple Grove took a 3-0 lead.  Quite honestly, Blake Goalie Abby Ziehl kept them in the game at all.

Cynthia Lyman scored to make it 3-1, but MG tallied two more to make it 5-1 at half.

Second half started even slower than the first half…with the score 6-1 with 13ish left in the game.  Then, Ellie Morrison scored two unanswered goals in approximately a minute of game play to make the score 6-3.  We thought we had a game.

We did not.  MG made it through a yellow card without further damaged and then tallied 4 more, for a game final of 10-3 and a thorough domination or a wounded, but still dangerous Blake squad.
