Section Preview

1 - Park (2022 3 seed in section 3, 12-4)

Is returning 3 of 4 top point scorers, your entire defense, and your goalie a good thing?  Because that’s what Park is doing, coming off of an “upset” CDH in the section semis last year.

Lost:

Megan Maloney – 33 points

Returning:

’23 Shelby Hanson – 52 points (D2 CSP)

’25 Josie Leonard – 43 points

’25 Madi Brinkman – 27 points

’25 GK Aubree Laska – 52.2%

2 - Woodbury (2022 5 seed in section 3, 8-6)

Lost some solid contributors, but their big players are coming back, including their goalie.  Playing in the Homegrown Lacrosse Winter 6s league (2-1 as of 2/16/23)

Lost:

Maggie McCarthy – 33 points

Bryn Allen – 18 points

Returning:

’24 Kate Hooley – 59 points (D1 UMass Lowell)

’25 Shelby Marik – 43 points

’24 Olivia Mishacoff – 28 points, led team is CT and DC

’25 Peyton Feigal – GK 50.4%

3 - CDH (2022 2 seed in section 3, 11-4)

Lost three of four point earners (including D1 Butler commit Luci Selander), but gains a new coaching staff:  Jeff Rosga and Ali Fenstermacher leave our favorite charter school and take their talents (and maybe the younger Rosga sister, Jordin) to CDH-ville (and new summer club pastures too).

Played in the Homegrown lacrosse Winter 6s league

Lost:

Luci Selander – 88 points (D1 Butler)

Ari Evens – 49 points

Lily Geist – 38 points

Returning:

’23 Anna Stangler – 41 points

’25 Jane Stangler – 30 points

’23 Margarita Lucio – GK 50.3%

New:

Coaching staff from Gentry and who knows who else.

4 - Simley (2022 4 seed in section 3, 10-5)

Lost two seniors total and returns the core of their scoring with Ted’s favorite sister duo, the Kurowski girls.

Shout out to a stout schedule with Blake, Prior Lake, Rosemount, Woodbury, Park, Hill-Murray, Mahtomedi, and Gentry!  Iron sharpens iron.

Lost:

Allie Woog – 25 points

Returning:

’25 Courtney Kurowski – 45 points

’24 Hannah Kurowski – 32 points

’24 Madi West – GK 54%

5 – St. Croix Prep (2022 7 seed in section 4, 13-2)

Lost leading scorer, but bring back next 4 and the goalie.  Had a very easy 2022 schedule.  2023 is slightly harder.  Thus the 5 seed.

Jordan Belfort and Stratton Oakmont are jealous of the logo.
